Three children found dead in Maharashtra's Nagpur

In a tragic incident in Maharashtra's Nagpur at least three children were found dead on Sunday, a day after they went missing from their homes. Nagpur Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar confirmed that the bodies of the three missing children were found in Farukh Nagar.

"The bodies of the missing children were found in an old car parked near their house, which comes under Panchpavali police station. According to Kumar, the children were playing near their homes, sitting in an old car and locking themselves.

“Soon after we were alerted, a team was formed to trace the children. During the investigation, the bodies of three children were recovered from the old car. Prima facie, they died due to heat and suffocation,” the police commissioner said.

The deceased have been identified as Taufique Firoz Khan, Afrin Irshad Khan and Alia Firoz Khan. All the children were between the ages of four and six. While Taufique and Alia are a brother-sister duo, Afrin lives nearby.

According to a report the children went out to play at 3 pm on Saturday. However, the children did not return until late in the evening, prompting their parents to file a police complaint at the Pachpaoli police station. After a case of kidnapping was filed, a police official found an old car parked near the house of one of the victims and found the bodies of three children.
